I was inspired by this article in Nature, and this example (of a wider phenomenon) to construct a CV of my failures. So here it is. I imagine this will be a work in progress for the rest of the life of this website. The intention is not to dwell on what follows, but only to acknowledge that our failures are at least as important to us as our successes, and that (at least in my own case) my successes are as much a product of my failures as they are anything else having to do with me).

Basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills.
How to learn things that I am not natively interested in.
How to sail or pilot a motorboat.
How to exercise in a way that is enjoyable to me.
How to program a computer in any way that can be considered authentically creative.
How to speak a language other than English with even basic competence.
